I realize I owe you all a post pertaining to life things, such as jobs (I has one 8D), summer housing (staying in Calabasas), thesis (I'm just about finished), and such other things. None of that is on my mind right now, however.

I just watched The Beast Below and I would like to ramble for a bit.

I wasn't kidding when I said 'ramble,' by the way. Also, spoilers. )
This is the scene that would not end. Give it a bit of buildup and it could be a chapter, I think. ;;; Either way, let me know what you all think, yes?

The name of the game is the same as the game here - I have a fic idea that's just been eating me. I, of course, blame The Eleventh Hour, the newest episode of Doctor Who. I watched that with my roomie, did my mindless getting ready for bed routine, let my mind wander, and poof, fic idea that's just kept developing itself every time I give it the idle brain space in which to do so.

And what is this brain-eating fic, you ask? A Doctor Who/Elite Beat Agents crossover.

As far as I'm concerned, they both have aliens and music and that is good enough for me.

I actually have almost everything pretty much figured out (as [livejournal.com profile] universejuice well knows, given that I've just about talked her ear off about it) - it's equal parts DW and EBA and all sorts of fun. I am, however, having a few character issues, which is where I'm hoping my lovely flisters can help me out.

Cut for character issues )

I just. I don't even know, guys. I need a few dedicated betas and I need some good advice before I start this thing. I might also need some encouragement in general to start it at all.

Also, would anybody be interested in seeing a radom-ish scene I have planned for it? Because I've been toying with this one since it struck me.

Turns out my class was cancelled fifteen minutes beforehand. I freaked out for noooooothing 8D

...I also missed the party for nothing. *facepalm*

ANYWAY I have some time to get things done...so of course I went to YouTube. And found this:

0:11. Just. 0:11.

Did the Doctor just Hadoken a bitch? O_o

Because this will be a fantastic new season if that is the case.

Just saying.

EDIT: Evidently that's a Shoryuken. My apologies. |Db

Lesson of the night: a martini that involves creme liquer and vodka will eventually curdle. Drink it before it becomes alcoholic yogurt.

Not quite sure why I'm still drinking the thing. I might need a spoon soon.

I had some epic and rather embarrassing adventures in cooking today. My task was to make cherry bars (which went off without a hitch) and peppermint fudge. For those of you who have had it, peppermint fudge is melted white chocolate and pounded candy canes mixed together, spread out, allowed to set, and then broken into pieces. It is basically the easiest dessert ever. We usually melt the chocolate in the microwave - heat in small increments and stir in between so it doesn't burn.

I don't know why, but for some reason today I just could not melt chocolate. I don't know if it was because the microwave is having issues (Mom called the repairman and he's coming tomorrow) or if it was because we used Ghiradelli chocolate chips instead of Toll House, but I could not make it work. The first batch somehow wound up with the consistency and smell of cheese - I have no idea how that happened - and the second batch had the consistency of Play-Doh.

I had a lot of fun with the second batch. |D

Peppermint fudge never happened for tonight's party, but Oreo truffles and cherry bars did, and they were both well worth it. :3

Also - and this is completely different - I'm not really having problems with my brother's girlfriend anymore. Something's changed in the few weeks I was back at Pepperdine, namely the fact that she doesn't make me want to break walls with my face anymore. I'm going to try to reserve judgment until I see more of her, which I inevitably will. We'll see how this goes.

And now, it's time to catch up on memes. Huzzah~

Comment and I'll give you three fandoms, for which you must answer these:

01: What got you into this fandom in the first place?
02: Do you think you'll stay in this fandom or eventually move on?
03: Favorite episodes/books/movies/etc.?
04: Do you participate in this fandom (fanfiction, graphics, discussions)?
05: Do you think that more people should get into this fandom?

[livejournal.com profile] deltashade gave me Doctor Who, Disgaea, and Chrno Crusade, while [livejournal.com profile] universejuice gave me Discworld, Elite Beat Agents, and Sonic.

I'm sure you're all so interested in hearing this. )

I also ran across one of these in [livejournal.com profile] sandsdream's journal, and since I love this type of meme I had to go for it. |Db

Crack Pairings Romance Meme:

Pick 10 characters from as many fandoms as you wish and assign them each a number. Then answer 16 questions. Let the lulz begin.

1. Rosette (Chrno Crusade)
2. Agent J (Elite Beat Agents)
3. Donna Noble (Doctor Who)
4. Luxord (Kingdom Hearts II)
5. Silver the Hedgehog (Sonic the Hedgehog)
6. DEATH (Discworld)
7. Flonne (Disgaea)
8. Agent Foxx (Elite Beat Agents)
9. The Doctor (Doctor Who)
10. The Genie (Aladdin)

If all else fails, this should be interesting. )

Well, that was indeed interesting. |Db

Also, my paid account dies in four days. Once it does, would somebody be willing to send me one of those magical certificates so's I can renew it please? :3

...I refuse to be spoilery so that's all you're getting. Heeyup.

So yeah, my life has been absolutely bat-flip crazy as of late. I got my insurance and such all figured out, so now I'm officially a part-time student next semester. That much is figured out, at least. Now I just need to get an internship. DEX isn't going to contact me until mid-December, so I need a backup juuuuuuust in case. I don't have one. Does anybody know of any good internships in Calabasas/Thousand Oaks/Santa Monica/LA/someplace in CA that's not too far from Malibu? I think I need all the help I can get over here |D

That said, I'm also supposed to be looking at grad schools, but I can't figure out what the hell I'm doing, and I keep trying to set up a meeting with my mentor, but I have classes during all his office hours and things are not working out on that front. FREAKING GRAD SCHOOL. No clue what I'm doing on that front either.

Aaaaaaaand I have to meet with the professor in charge of the Writing Center tomorrow, because evidently one of the students I tutored last Wednesday sent her an email. She said not to worry too much, but we do still need to talk about it. Ten to one odds it's the texting chick. ._.

Post-structuralist/deconstructionist paper is due tomorrow. I still have no ideas. I emailed Dr. Goodman at about noon today, telling her I was throwing in the bucket towel and could I come in tomorrow for some healp? She said yes, so I'm going.

Choerographer paper is due Friday. Can't forget that. Mrrrrr.

Got sorority stuff every night this week. Don't get me wrong, I love my sisters and I love my littles and I love spoiling them rotten. Problem is, having an event every night and then initiation and then formal and then Gamma Games and aaaaaaaagh no idea how I'm going to do this.

I HAVE. TO LAST. UNTIL NEXT TUESDAY. And then I go home for Thanksgiving break and hopefully life is better.

And my dad came down tonight and he took my apartment out to Duke's for dinner, so that was awesome. So yay there. :D

And finally (and very importantly):

HAPPY BIRTHDAY [livejournal.com profile] orelle_peredhil! ♥

Is it too early to start shopping for Christmas?

More to the point, is it utterly tactess to email the link to this 24-hour sale to my mom and tell her in no uncertain terms that I want Season 4?

Because these usually sell for. You know. Seventy bucks. And they're going for less than 35 until midnight tonight.

EDIT: I emailed her the link and told her I wanted Season 4. We'll see what comes of this, if anything. |D

So most people know I'm going to this crazy Doctor Who convention, right?

Well, last time I checked the guest list the most impressive guest was Gareth David Lloyd, the actor who plays Ianto on Torchwood. [livejournal.com profile] orelle_peredhil told me to check the list again today. It now includes:

Frazer Hines, who played Jamie
Nicola Bryant, who played Peri
Wendy Padbury, who played Zoe
Kai Owen, who plays Rhys on Torchwood
Phil Collinson, producer of all four seaons of New Who

But the one that caught my eye?

Colin Baker, who played the Sixth Doctor

Tutors in the writing center really aren't supposed to squee like morons. Guess who broke that rule.

...I'm so excited *A*

ETA: Haha got my Bakers mixed up. STILL EXCITED :D

Room reservations are made. I said there'd be 4 people anyways in case somebody like my roomie whom I'm still trying to convince decides to join in.

Also, evidently Gallifrey has a group discount for Disneyland parkhopper tickets good from February 8th to the 22nd. Sounds good to me~ :D

All that's left is to buy a ticket. I am so looking forward to this year~ \o/

We need to start talking Gallifrey. There's a post up on the website reminding people to make hotel reservations now, and I think that's what we should be doing. You have two friends who want to come as well, right?

Right now rooms are $120/night (plus tax) going at the Gallifrey rate. If we don't get one of those, we'll have to pay full rate for rooms. At the Gallifrey rate, one room with four people in it is about $68.48 per person.

So, who's going and what are we doing? I'd like to get these made before they run out of space.
...first, yes, I do know I have quite a bit to post about, like my grandma's arrival and the epic six-hour stint of laser tag last night (from which I am still incredibly sore), but for now DOCTOR WHO BROKE MY BRAIN.

Cut for swearing, fansquee, cries of agony...and of course spoilers for Stolen Earth )

...I will likely not survive until next Saturday. XD

So yes. I've been to a Gallifrey. Man, that was such a blast.

Friday )

SPOILERS - Torchwood: Reset )

...those of you who covered your eyes to avoid spoilers can open them again now.

Saturday )

Sunday )

All in all? I'm so going next year.

And I promise there'll be pictures, just as soon as Life stops eating my face and gives me enough free time to take them off my camera and post them (i.e. Spring Break).
I decided to watch Naruto last night, specifically the battles between Deidara and Gaara and Chiyo, Sakura, and Sasori.

I was bored out of my mind and quickly turned to MST, especially for the Sasori fight. He looks like he's eight, has the worst gorram Bambi eyes ever, and wears mascara. Mascara. It was pretty bad. XD;

So I don't think I'll ever watch Naruto again, because it's dead boring. Well, okay, maybe I'll go find the battle where Sasori gets his arm ripped off by Kakashi...but after that, probably not. It was really just boring. XD;

In other news, I got my cancer shot today. I'm going to be one less. XD;

...for those of you who got completely freaked out by the word "cancer," don't worry, it was just Guardasil. I'm fine.

Starherd, Kae, I'm almost done with that map. I'll transfer it to paint and send it to you when I've finished. In the meantime, we need to have a Doctor Who session.

I've been bitten by the Guitar Hero bug. It's just too much fun. :D;

Aside from the fact that storage is a pain (though I still have nothing on [livejournal.com profile] yuukihikari and her moving stories), my Edward muse has taken over my brain (what else is new), and I seriously want more Nanne Gronvall music, I think that's all for life so far. :3

I need to find my denim purse. Where the heck is my denim purse?
...And then my nets died and took it all with it. Le sigh. To summarize:

And I am le tired. I shall see y'all tomorrow. ♥~~~

I just saw the last two episodes of Season Two of Doctor Who.

...So, yeah. Braindead, homework to do, and at some point I have pictures that I think y'all will really get a kick out of that I need to post here.

...let's just say there was a TARDIS at the Thames festival this afternoon. X3
My brain is coming up with utter Doctor Who crack right now, as I've just watched the preview for the season finale of Season Two. So.

There was a line in there of the Doctor telling somebody to send something "back to hell." This leads to flipouts about the reoccurance of Satan.

There are also Cybermen. This leads to...well, a lot of jokes.

For example, Cybermen possessed by Satan, becoming his new legion (not unlike the Ood). Instead of DELETE DELETE DELETE, they'd stomp around yelling DAMN DAMN DAMN and pointing that finger of doom at unsaved souls.

Or, a Dalek/Cyberman hybrid that goes around saying EXTERMALETE EXTERMALETE EXTERMALETE

Or, better yet, a Dalek/Cyberman hybrid that goes around yelling DATE DATE DATE

...the possibilities are endless and soooooooo messed up. XD;;;

Anyways. HOMEWORKS TIEM NAO YUS. *flies off to go do a paper in the form of a comic book*

ETA: They're called Dalbermeks. Just so you know. Dalbermeks.

...yeah. *back to homework!*

This is pretty much how my Heroes-watching experience went tonight.

LeSeptieme = me
Fantine = [profile] __fantine (um, duh...)

[22:02] LeSeptieme: HOMIGOD.
[22:02] LeSeptieme: heroes tonight.
[22:02] Fantine: I actually like the beard!
[22:03] LeSeptieme: I didn't recognize him at first!
[22:03] Fantine:  Eccleston. He's deserving of omgs and hearts
[22:03] Fantine:  OMG <3 <3 <3 <#
[22:03] LeSeptieme: YESSSSSSS.
[22:03] Fantine:  <3*
[22:04] Fantine:  Much as I love the rest of the cast, if it was down to only Masi Oka and Eccleston, I would still watch.
[22:04] LeSeptieme: and that's the truth. :D
[22:04] Fantine:  :-D.
[22:04] LeSeptieme: yeah. exactly. :D.
[22:05] LeSeptieme: I want it to be next week now kthx. :D
[22:05] Fantine:  Seriously.
[22:05] Fantine:  Haha, my dad just called to ask if I saw XD.
[22:05] LeSeptieme: XDDDDD

For those of you who don't know, Christopher Eccleston is the new Invisible Man character in Heroes. For those of you who really don't know, Christopher Eccleston is also the Ninth Doctor in Doctor Who. For those of you who really, really don't know...Wikipedia is your friend. ^^
I've decided it's time for a new layout. I love you, Katamari, but it's been a while and I'm ready for some change. I'm thinking Ninth Doctor or Kingdom Hearts (maybe world themed? Gummi ships? I dunno, something). Is there anybody out there who has one lying around, or who wants to make one? ^^

Better yet, is there somebody out there who can teach me to make my own?

But yeah, new layout plz~ :D;
