I know there're issues - it's my first time using Audacity and a mic stronger than the one I use for Skype, and the video nearly ate itself during the recording process, so there's still things we need to work out.
Now I'm torn between wanting to replay KHII and wanting to find badfic about the slums of Twilight Town. XD And I love how Hayner seems to be setting himself up for a future career as his world's Random Exposition Man (everywhere needs one), which I'd totally forgotten. It's really great so far, looking forward to more!
Replaying the first part of KHII is paaaaainful. o_o I legitimately had a dream about pigeons last night.
The "slums of Twilight Town" bit comes from a fic that I will eventually spork that mentions that Terra grew up in the slums of Twilight Town and that the entire world is cruel and uncaring and full of jerks. Given that this is also the Vanitanort fic, I took it with a shaker of salt and went on reading. And laughing. Really hard.
That is true - every world does need an exposition man. Pretty sure ours are Stewart and Colbert.
You don't happen to have a link to this fic, do you please? Or a title maybe? I'm going to go out on a limb here and guess you found it on ff.n- now my badfic cravings have started and I may have to set up camp there. XD
Replaying the first part of any game is always awful. I find myself going "WHY CAN'T I DO [WHATEVER]?!?! D:" and forgetting entirely that whatever epic move I need I can't get for, like, another twenty hours.
I don't want to go digging around FFN on a work computer, but it's called The Path I Choose To Take or something like that. If the search engine doesn't pick that up, the sequel is called The Path I Continue To Walk and you can click on the author profile and go from there. The fic is hilarious in some aspects and just utterly frustrating in others, namely in its treatment of Aqua.
There's actually a video in here somewhere in which I start complaining about the lack of Scan. It's always tough going back. |D
Thanks, I'll check it out! ^-^ Though yeah. If you hear a distant 'FFFF-', it'll probably be me re: Aqua. Because from that sentence alone I have a horrible sense I know where this is going...
Leon is voiced by Doug Erholtz in KHII, I believe. I know for sure he picked up the role in Dissidia, so I'm pretty sure this was his first practice session.
I don't normally watch LPs, but outside of the visual and slight audio issues, it seemed fine to me. But awww all those voice acting jokes and no Feeny Call for Seifer? I was a very briefly sad panda. Same with waiting for a Bleeding Love joke >.>
This just hit me--is it normal practice for LPs to include extras? Because you could totally make fun of the secret ending with all the text if you loaded up a Proud Mode file.
I honestly don't know much about voice actors beyond The Main Guys, so that's news for me, actually. |Db
Most LPs tend to be LET'S PLAY THE GAME AND BE FUNNY (read that in the Chester A. Bum voice to get the full effect). My personal favorite is the Something Awful LP of Sonic 2006. So yes, I am glad you liked it. :Db
Some LPs will do extra stuff if there are bonus levels or whatnot. I think we could do the secret ending for the lulz - it just depends on how the rest of this goes and how we manage to resolve the video/audio issues. CHASERS WHAT THE HELL.
I re-wikied him and apparently he's also Terry from Batman Beyond and Ron Stoppable. Go figure! /didn't know
I don't prefer the Bum Reviews, so I'll arrange an alternate Samuel L. Jackson reading in place of that. The only other LPs I've seen are the Unskippable one and parts of the overly referenced Majora's Mask one with Ben. Oh, and the LJ/blog P3 one, but I never got into that. There was also that Yahtzee Animal Crossing blog one where it ended up being Silent Hill. That was cute.
The English secret ending would definitely be easy fodder, so whatever works for you! I'm actually not sure if I could keep watching, but that's only because I get fidgety and end up turning the LPs off to play games on my own. It's the one thing I seem to have no patience for, sadly.

You might want to find a way to fix that, since it kinda distracts me from what you're saying...
