Hooray, latter half of obsolete slogan for my workplace!

Which is to say, today was my first day of on-the-floor orientation for On the Border.

It was a lot of fun, and I absolutely love how fast the restaurant moves, but I cannot figure out the computer for the life of me. Everything has an abbreviation that makes little if any sense (Why is "quesadilla" "DILL?" Why is the Carne Asada and Shrimp "STK/SH?"), and everything's in a different section. Why can't we have a section of tacos labeled "Tacos?" Instead, the tacos are in the Fajita section and the Specialty section and I DON'T KNOW ANYMORE.

The MCP is running On the Border's computers, I swear. It should not have taken me the better part of an hour to punch in eight practice tickets.

And then I had to study part of the menu and take a written test. On the Border sure is serious about training their employees. XD

In other news, I have nine purses to make: Brooks, Dunn, Maria, Etna, Flonne, Sam, Hayley, Shannon, and a surprise. I'm off to Hobby Lobby to take advantage of the last of their 30% off ribbons and trim sale tomorrow (right after work and my second written test, of course). X3
