shadow_wings_, T., A., M., and I) went down into Malibu today. They were having a chili cookoff, and with it a carnival. I love carnivals, and I haven't been to one since the last time I went to Frontier Days my freshman year of high school - four years ago. So I was really looking forward to this. A. can vouch for that - I was walking next to her, and as I spotted each ride...well..."Have you been on the Gravitron? No? Oh, we so need to go on that. And look, they have a Kamikaze! I love the Kamikaze! And I hope they have a Thunderbolt. I really really hope they have a Thunderbolt..."
And then we get to the entrance, where they tell us it'll be $10 apiece to get in and tickets for the rides (prices set by the carnival, not the cookoff people) will cost extra and probably very expensive.
So we don't go in.
DAMN.
...I suppose I'll be going to Frontier Days next year. I wonder if they'll have any good concerts...
So we ended up going to Ralph's (grocery store not unlike Safeway) and getting stuff we needed. I will most likely be drowning my sorrows later tonight in a pint of Ben and Jerry's Black and Tan (provided I don't get the book thrown at me for having a stout-based ice cream on campus).
Oh! Hey! I almost forgot!tafkae's tablet is broken, and she's doing commissions to try to pay for a new one. Commissions are on her deviantART page...please help her out! ^^
