We all know PETA, those not-so-loveable animal-loving psychos that throw blood on fur coats. Yeah, remember them?
They've gone too far.
I chat with this great guy,

ShopNBC sells furs on their website.
Yeah, I bet you can all see where this one is going.
But it's not just a protest against the company, oh no. They put up the CEO's name and PERSONAL PHONE NUMBER on their website and are now encouraging people to CALL HIM AT HOME AND HARASS HIM AND HIS FAMILY.
Like this. (Name and number blacked out to salvage what little is left of their privacy.)
Oh HELL no.
So. Here's what I propose.
This is the page that has PETA's contact info. (
I figure if we can bury them under enough e-mails, we can convince them not to use underhanded, dishonorable, and illegal tactics such as this.
As for the legal side of it,

Please help me out with this, people. Set up a dummy Yahoo account or something if you think you're going to get backlash - with a fake name, you can't be traced. We need to make PETA understand that using tactics like this to make their point is completely wrong. What better way to let them know than to use their own tactics against them?
That's what I thought.
Thank you.
EDIT: After 30 or so minutes of cooling down, I realized that I sound about as batshit as most PETA members right here. For that, I apologize.
Revised plan of action:
Still e-mail them and call them - just no insanity and no spam. Very calmly, rationally, and respectfully - yes, you heard me right, respectfully - lay out why exactly you think what they have done is morally and legally wrong and ask them to stop. If they don't - well, too bad for them. Maybe if we get enough calm, rational people to reply, they may get the point and stop doing this in the future. (Or maybe the lawsuit will drive that point home.)
Batshit, I realized, is not the best way to fight batshit. Logic is the way to go.
Thank you again for sticking with me on this. It means a lot.
