I just found out I need a 3.5 to keep my scholarship.
Now, my friends, we kick it into HIGH FREAKING GEAR.
And pray.
EDIT: I decided to call OneStop instead of freaking out about it anymore. Here's what they told me:
~The WANT me to have a 3.5 to keep the scholarship. If I get a 3.5, I'm safe.
~ If I fail to get a 3.5, they look at my cumulative GPA (all the semesters I've been at Pepperdine - for me now, it's just one). If my cumulative GPA is below 2.75 for that semester, they send me an official warning and put me on academic probation.
======If it's my second semester having a semester GPA less than 3.5 and a cumulative GPA below 2.75, the scholarship is gone.
~ If I fail to get a 3.5 for the semester but my cumulative GPA is above 2.75, they allow me to keep the scholarship without the official warning or the academic probation. It's a grey area: it's not where they want me to be and I need to work harder, but I won't be penalized.
The long and short of it is, At the moment I have a 2.6, so I still need to work my butt off. If I don't *quite* manage to hit a 3.5, though, it's okay - just so long as it's above 2.75. Actually, given my parents, it should be as close to a 3.5 as possible, if not well above.
Basically, work my butt off, study, pray and praise the Holy Lord above that Pepperdine forgives its students.
I'm in an academic foxhole and I never was an athiest to begin with. Seriously, people, what did you think I'd do? ;D
