bookshop. I'd say the plan is well thought out, and I'm going to follow it to the best of my ability. I'm fairly certain even the local paper would be interested in this, and I think I can help in some of the different areas.
One of the things we need to do is come up with a good, coherent argument - something that's not going to devolve into HOMG PORNS AND TEH CHILDRENS :O!!!11!!ELEVENTY-ONE!! To that end, this post has been set up, and I know I for one am going to take a stab at writing that argument. I think one of the big points we need to focus on is context. Taking anything out of context is bound to make it awkward and potentially offensive, even more so when it's as serious and sensitive a subject as pedophelia and rape.
I'd like anybody who is confident in their writing skills to take a look here and see what they can do. I'd say we can make quite a difference here.
Also,aphoneticcame up with a great idea: downgrading. It's all explained in her post here, but basically if people with plus accounts downgrade to basic accounts, the ads will no longer be shown and LJ takes a financial hit - a very effective course of action if performed en masse.
