So first, my report on this afternoon's Humanities final, best summed up in an earlier AIM conversation with Jen.

[08:02] yamikonumber7: just got back from a final.
[08:02] yamikonumber7: very nearly got screwed over on that one. :Db
[08:02] nalina: D: How so?
[08:02] yamikonumber7: there are two very famous guys named Giovanni de Medici, did you know that?
[08:02] yamikonumber7: I STUDIED THE WRONG ONE. :D
[08:02] nalina: Oh... no I didn't ^.^
[08:02] nalina: ACK D:
[08:03] yamikonumber7: but he let me write about the other one. XD;
[08:03] nalina: oh whew
[08:04] yamikonumber7: because there's Giovanni-de-Midici-who-started-the-Medici-bank-on-the-raod-to-greatness, and there's Giovanni-de-Medici-who-got-exiled-from-Florence-became-Pope-Leo-X-and-took-back-Florence.
[08:04] nalina: lol I see
[08:04] yamikonumber7: we were supposed to study Pope!Giovanni. I studied bank!Giovanni.
[08:04] nalina: Ooops
[08:04] yamikonumber7: but all the email with the study guide said was "Giovanni de Medici."
[08:05] nalina: Ahhh ... which didn't really give you any clues XD
[08:05] yamikonumber7: and the question was generic enough - "How did Giovanni de Medici change the fortunes of the Medici family?" - that when I asked, he said I could write about bank!Giovanni.
[08:05] yamikonumber7: probably because I said I could make a good case for him and I just looked so pathetic. XD;
[08:06] nalina: lolol ... that's good
[08:06] nalina: it was a honest mistake ^.^
[08:06] yamikonumber7: I WAS SO SCARED. ;;;;;
[08:06] nalina: *HUGS*
[08:06] yamikonumber7: *CLING*
[08:07] yamikonumber7: because it was pick-2-of-12-questions-and-write-essays and I didn't know ten of them. ;;;
[08:07] yamikonumber7: because I studied bank!Giovanni and Machiavelli.
[08:07] yamikonumber7: and there was a question about Machiavelli.
[08:07] nalina: Ahh I see :o
[08:08] yamikonumber7: But there was a good ten-minute chunk when I was staring at the test going, dear God I'm screwed this is 40% of my grade ;;;;;;;;
[08:08] yamikonumber7: AND. OH. THE BEST PART.
[08:08] yamikonumber7: Those papers I was trying to do last night? the ones I finally finished at four in the morning?
[08:08] yamikonumber7: are due tomorrow. not today.
[08:08] nalina: Oh noes ^.^;;;;
[08:08] yamikonumber7: I got my grades screwed up and I COULD have been studying and sleeping. XD;;;;;;;
[08:08] yamikonumber7: *dates. not grades.
[08:09] yamikonumber7: IT'S BEEN A GREAT WEEK. XDDD

So yeah. I chatted with my Humanities teacher tonight at the end-of-term banquet (held at a local hotel, food was only really okay, and I find it ironic that TERM'S NOT OVER YET :D;), and he was impressed that I'd studied banker!Giovanni instead of pope!Giovanni. Evidently most people think of Leo X when they hear Giovanni de Medici and just gloss right over banker!Giovanni.

Which makes me hope I've done okay on that essay, as he'll be paying attention to it now. XD;

My iTunes needs a thorough cleaning, especially of songs with broken links. That won't be happening anytime soon, but it needs to.

I have an English final tomorrow. Should probably study for that, huh.

And the fact that I sent some of my stuff home with my mom should not mean I have less stuff to take home now, as I bought stuff since they'd been here. Now I'm paranoid about my suitcases' weight limits. ;;;

And I really should quit staying up until three when I don't need to. :Db

TOMORROW IS MY LAST DAY IN LONDON WHERE HAS ALL THE TIME GONE ;_;

Nah, evidently people think Pope when the hear Giovanni de Medici. I think Medidi is still synonymous with money, though. :3

Medici does equal money, mwa haha. At least for those who studied Italian history...more specifically Florence in the Renaissance...Dude, they totally ruled over Florence during that time.

Either that or I think of a really good Gelateria...

No, I'm totally not in class not paying attention to lecture...

I would like to go more into Renaissance Florence, actually. I quite enjoyed what we did get to learn about it, especially the Pazzi Conspiracy. (Seriously, who gets so enthusiastic about killing somebody they stab their own leg?) And yes, they totally did.

Hehe Pazzi Conspiracy. There's a reason that 'pazzo/i' means crazy/insane in Italian.

He puts the powerpoint lectures on Blackboard...and it's so boringgggggg. but, I'm out of class now and trying to work on an English term paper due tomorrow...Yeah, k, I'm screwed.
