If you're going to put Edward in one of your books, why doesn't he do anything interesting?

His sole purpose in The Harlequin seemed to be bringing in his sixteen-year-old stepson Peter (so Peter can get gutted by a weretiger, thanks), bring in Olaf (who is now the creepiest kid in the playground, thanks again), and wangst a bit to Anita about how he doesn't understand love, having a family is slowing him down, yadda yadda yadda.
He never gets to kill anybody. Hell, I don't think he ever even shoots anybody. So much for "the man known as Death," huh.
Yeah, I'm disappointed, how could you tell?
