1:13 a.m. and I'm so tired I can barely think anymore.
It's official: I'm a lightweight.
Could be because of all the stuff I've done today, though. English 215 at 8 a.m., Religion 102 at 10 a.m., work at 2 (for three hours), sorority meeting for informal recruitment (I think I might get a few girls to come, yay), dinner, beating Guitar Hero, hanging out with
shadow_wings_, and finally the activity check for Paixao.
Guitar Hero was...interesting, to say the least. I certainly wasn't expecting my agent to drop the band into hell (literally) so we could play a set that includes an instrumental (guitar solo all the way, which I actually enjoyed - I'll have to see if it's on iTunes) and death metal, which is unbelievably hard to play even on Easy. (Though with a title like Raining Blood, what did I expect, really? The weather forecast?) The coup de grace, of course, was the guitar duel with Satan- I mean, Lou - based on Devil Went Down to Georgia by the Charlie Daniels Band. I thought it kind of bizarre to be doing this in the middle of a dorm room of a Christian college.
And I kicked Satan's ass. X3
And *then* they had me playing Through the Fire and Flame by Dragonforce during the credits. I wanted to watch the credits, darn it, not play some seven-and-some-change-minute-long song that's up there with Apocalyptica and Nightwish in terms of instrumental complexity and harmony (i.e. ALSO really hard on Easy). It was a pretty cool song, though. Guitar Hero is making me spend money on iTunes, I've discovered. It's a conspiracy.
(Random conspiracy thought: Plot similarities between Firefly and 28 Days Later. GO.)
And even though we've both been here a week,
shadow_wings_ and I only discovered that we live less than ten rooms down from one another tonight. Go figure. So she came over for a while, and we turned on Guitar Hero yet again. She started a band, and I showed her the not!Satan duel.
I also think I've gotten her hooked on Disgaea, only for the Prinnies. Hooray for fellow penguin fans!
Oh, and a random announcement about my job: if you've lived on Pepperdine campus for any longer than five days, you should know the extension for One Stop by now. You go there for *everything*, folks - tuition, scheduling, EVERYTHING. So when you flood the poor operator with calls thirty minutes before the end of the add/drop period asking to be connected to One Stop...yeah. Not fun stuff.
And the guy who asked if there was a more direct extension to One Stop, since every time he was transferred there the phones were busy? It's thirty minutes before the end of add/drop. What on Earth makes you think it wouldn't be busy? Drag your rear down to the TAC and stand in front of one of the desks in the One Stop office. They'll pay attention to you then. (And if there was a more direct extension to One Stop, don't you think I would have connected you there in the first place?)
And for yet another random gear shift, on to Unreal!
I can't wait for the battle with Edward to finally start. Edward and Naruto versus Sasori and Deidara promises to be very, very interesting. As in, I'll be surprised if at least two of them don't die. I'm pretty certain that Edward's ass is grass for this one (because senbon do not do a body good), but if he can pass the DC Brit set for evading them...well, that will certainly be interesting.
Yes, I will be rolling Edward a dexterity score and using the modifier on the DC roll. Yes, I will be using an actual d20 for that one. I am such a tabletop nerd, and not only do I have no shame, but I love every minute of it.
Rosette, in the meantime, thinks Jou's off his rocker. It is nice to meet somebody who's not trying to kill her, however (though she'll be SOL once the seal around Tsume and the Prince falls, I think).
And I ramble when I'm tired, so I'll stop here. :3

And I take it you got the Operator job, sweet! But no, seriously. People never really learn the big numbers: One Stop, financial aid, health center, etc. They'll be asking for those forever.

Glad you like it! :D You can carry on my legacy of...KH-ness at the Operator, since we kinda met there. I just liked it for the fact that it was so easy to multitask during that job.
