1. Given a choice, and imagining that money and time were no object, would you rather cook dinner, eat out or order in?
Probably order in. That way I can eat on paper plates and not really have to do dishes or get dressed up and drive. It's the perfect night to stay in with the family and watch the football game.
2. What is the most elaborate meal you've ever prepared yourself or purchased at a restaurant?
Oh, I have no idea. *laughs* Probably the stuff I've eaten at the Broadmoor for senior luncheon and such. Because c'mon, it's the Broadmoor. And the food was phenomenal.
3. What food do you find yourself making and/or eating way too much?
Ice cream. ^^ I can't make it, but I love to eat it.
4. What was your most disastrous cooking/eating out experience?
Cooking was one of my mother's, actually. The long and short of it is, never try to make pecan pie at 7000 feet without a high altitude recipe. (We ended up with rock candy.)
For eating out, it was at a Chinese buffet. I'd gotten crab legs and had trouble getting the meat out. When I finally got one to open, the meat flew out and landed in the lap of the guy at the next table over. Thankfully, he was pretty cool about it.
Then, when I was going up to get more crab legs, a kid at a table I was walking by did the same thing and nearly hit me. Boy was his mom peeved. I explained to her what happened only a few minutes before...talk about karma.
5. Would you rather cook for someone else or have them cook for you?
Both, I guess. When I'm having a lazy or hectic day it's nice to have the food pre-cooked, but I'm really starting to miss the oven and kitchen at home. Too much of a good thing, I guess. ^^;
