Called hiatus everywhere, dropped a few characters, and realized I really need to get in touch with my thesis advisor because, depending on her answer, I may have just screwed myself over for six weeks' worth of journal entries.

Dare You to Move is back on hold because, after watching it again, it's nowhere near as good as I remember.

Right now, I'm just marking time until Friday.

Uh oh - what happened???

We're supposed to have been keeping journal entries and writing one every week on different topics - finding one's thesis topic, narrowing things down, getting information, etc. I haven't really had anything to say for any of them because I walked into class knowing exactly what I wanted to do for my thesis and having a paper I was basing it on. Basically, all these journal entries are N/A for me and I haven't done a one of them. |D

I just emailed Goodman and asked, and I'm pretty sure she'll say I don't have to do them, but...yeah. One more thing to worry about, I think.

....considering what I've heard from a bunch of other people in your thesis class, I doubt that anyone's been doing them at all. So you're not the only one who's worried, I bet.

Gotta say, I definitely appreciate the much more structured approach Dr Smith's been taking to our thesis class. Frustrating as it is sometimes to have little weekly assignments (that are actually due, instead of honor-based), they're really not busy work and will definitely be hugely helpful further down the road.

And hey, at least you do know what you want to do, which is more than I can say for a lot of people. So try not to worry too much, and bonne chance! :)

I got an email back from Goodman, and she says I don't need to do all of them - only the ones that pertain to my thesis and the point where I'm at now. It'll only be two or three weeks' worth instead of six, which is good.

How's yours coming, by the way?

Mine's pretty good; I've got a solid base off which to start writing after break. We had to turn in a 15-source annotated bibliography (X__X) and a 3-4 page proposal on Thursday, which as un-fun as it was is def going to make my life easier in March. I'm pretty well sure of where I'm going with it, so I'm feeling chill at the mo... tho I'm sure that'll change later. ;-)
