I feel like I've lost several important things all at once...

So we finished Excel Saga last night.

............wooooooooooooooooooowwwwwwwwww..............

Complete and utter insanity, and I have to admit I loved every minute of it. I'm still laughing, but that's probably because I only got about 4 hours of sleep last night. (It didn't help that my friend mistakenly set her alarm for 6 a.m...yeah, that was fun...everybody pretty much rolled over and went back to sleep after that.)

Here's your spoiler warning for Excel Saga, because I'm too lazy to put everything in grey font. If you haven't seen the series...well, it really doesn't matter, because the jokes will still be funny. ^^

I've decided that the "Excel Goes to America" episode is the funniest of the entire series. (Considering the entire series is nothing but comedy and lowbrow satire, this is quite an achievement.) Just hearing Excel try to speak English is hysterical. (Of course, you have to be watching it subbed to get the full effect...tafkae tells me that, in the dubbed version, she starts speaking a weird mixture of Spanish and Gangsta'. Somehow, I just don't find that quite as funny.) >>

tafkae also tells me that she and Nisey (another friend who hasn't talked to me in ages...meh) cried during the gagless episode. Me, I was still laughing. It's not gagless if Hyatt dies! She keeled over twice that episode!

And we watched Episode 26. That's right, [I]the[/I] Episode 26. The one that was so dirty, bloody, and messed up, the producers didn't even try to get it on air. It was funnier than all hell. (Keep in mind, by that time everybody had had sufficient amounts of caffeine and sugar and we were all really tired...)

All in all, the series was completely messed up and anybody who tries to take life seriously would probably hate it, but I think anybody with a sense of humor should seriously give it a try. Personally, I preferred the second half to the first half, but that's probably just me. ^^

I'm going to go see Toxic Audio ( http://www.toxicaudio.com/ ) tonight with my mom. I can't wait! ^^
