I really should update, shouldn't I.

So I'm updating.

We had a fire right across PCH a few days ago. It was actually really scary for a while, but the winds blowed north instead of west, so we were all safe.

But it killed our Verizon internet transformer, so we were without internet for a few days. I was saddened. But I lived. ^^;

I started watching Firefly. That's a blast. :D

And classes started on Monday, so here's a schedule (complete with commentary) for you all.

English 101: Monday/Thursday. Oh my freaking goodness, I was mistaken about this one. It's not "How to Write a Sentence," as I originally thought, it's "How to Write a Paper." My forte is literary analysis - this descriptive essay is going to be hard. (I got this close to making a comment about "Would you like some prose with your purple?" I'm awful.) Sooooooooo it should be interesting.

French: Monday/Tuesday/Thursday/Friday. I can honestly say, for the first time in five, maybe six years, that I love my French class. (Honestly saying I think my French teacher is awesome is the first time in four years.) I actually look forward to going to this class for an hour each day.

Choir: Monday/Wednesday/Thursday. Our choir teacher is well recovered from last semester's heart attack, and both the choirs are doing Mozart's Requiem. o-o Hooooooooo boy.

Humanities: Monday/Wednesday. I really don't have much of an opinion on this class, but it's not headdeskingly bad like Psych was, so I don't really mind one way or another.

Speech: Tuesday/Thursday. I missed the first class, so today was my first. It should be fun, even though I don't really want to do it - I thought IB orals would be enough to get me through this, but at the least they've given me practice for this graduation-requirement of a class. The teacher is fun, though, so I suppose that's what matters.

Well, evidently the fire was never in any danger of coming on campus, so we were going to be okay from the beginning.

And yes, Firefly is so much love. ♥
The girl who plays Jayne Cobb in Paixao is freaking awesome, and I love the music. That show is just awesome. :D

Turns out the initial diagnosis of a bad Verison router wasn't quite accurate (thanks Verizon)--it was actually a bad stretch of cable somewhere between here and Port Hueneme, which was why (after they failed their first deadline) they wouldn't give us an ETA until about 1p Wednesday; it took them about that long to find what the problem was.

Why they didn't give us an alternate pipeline while repairs were under way is Something We May Never Know (TM).

Dude, why didn't you save Humanities for when you're in London? :O It's a 6-unit course each semester, but you get it done in two semesters instead of three, plus you get to go to museums which is a bazillion times more interesting than reading everything out of a textbook!

And I'm picking you up at 1:00 on Friday, yes?

I'm taking Humanities 111 this semester, because they offer Humanities 222 in London. 111 is a prerequisite. ^^;

And yes...except on Saturday...XD;
