Okay. So. [livejournal.com profile] unreal_rpg. Y'all know I'm in this madness.

I was in Heroes and Dragons today (local comic store, for those who aren't in my neck of the woods), and I saw a particular comic on the shelves.

Yes, they are making Anita Blake comics, for some unknown reason. (I hesitate to call them graphic novels, as they come in small serial issues and not bound books.)

And guess who's on the cover? Everybody's favorite sociopath, Edward.

And then I flip through it. This is one of the instances in which he kills a vampire with a flamethrower.

And suddenly, my Edward-muse is back. And I want to put him in Unreal. Because he'd have a grand old time killing the freaks.

And beneath the sheer WTFery that is having a muse that actually scares me (why is there a sociopath in my head? Why?) is the thought that he might actually cut Rosette a break. She's normal, after all. To him, that's boring in a hunt.

Yep. Way the hell outta my mind right now.

...brb apping Edward

Ah, Edward. A brilliant point of Joy in an otherwise dismal world...
*Has a sadly low opinion of the Anita Blake franchise*

AW SHIT ANITA BLAKE MAAAN.

I remember those books. I read them in seventh grade. 8D Looking back on them, I... I can't determine why I did, as they weren't particularly good. I hated Anita, Jean Claude tended to piss me off, and Richard was so tragic that it was painful. In fact, the only two characters I ever really liked were Edward and Micah, but upon finding that there was a severe lack of fanfiction for those two, I just gave up on the series as a whole.

Incubus Dreams is the last one I read. Narcissus in Chains was probably my least favorite, though, if only because there wasn't even an inkling of a plot until, what, the last chapter?

Edward's family actually bugged me, but at the same time, I really liked the touch. (Mostly because it meant Anita couldn't get in his pants, too.)
