fandomsecrets. Yes, there have been notable exceptions, but for the most part I'm ambivalent.
Not so much today.
This secret, for some reason, made me really sad. I can't say that I disapprove of wanting to buy House, or that giving up spending money for Lent is a bad thing.
It's the comment in parentheses that gets me. "It's what you do, not why you do it, right?"
Nope. That's completely bass-ackwards from what it's supposed to be, and for some reason, that really makes me sad. I mean, does their understanding of the Lenten season only extend to "give something up, it's tradition?" Because if it does...well, I think that's kinda sad.
