The answer to that would be: yes, I know. You're outside on the lawn in your nightie and robe, along with everybody else in the dorm.
Why?
Simple. The fire alarm went off. Evidently, if you take a really hot shower, the steam will set off the dorm smoke alarm. And evidently, somebody was taking a really hot shower at two in the morning.
Yeah, that was fun. NOT.
People, if you're going to shower at two in the morning, take a relatively cool one. It doesn't have to be cold, just cool enough that it DOESN'T SET OFF THE SMOKE ALARM AT SOME UNGODLY HOUR OF THE MORNING.
Especially when some of us have 8 a.m. classes the next day (or rather, later that day).
And this isn't the first time this has happened. Dorm 1 was out on their lawn about two weeks ago for this same reason. (They were lucky enough to have it happen in the middle of the afternoon.) Give it another two weeks or so, and Dorm 5 will have their alarm go off just like this. (We're Dorm 3.)
Seriously, people. Learn from everybody else's mistakes and take a shower that won't sear the skin off your back. Jeez.
